ROCK SPRINGS AT KELLEY PARK, FLORIDA

Rock Springs

Nestled in the lush landscapes of Apopka, just northwest of Orlando, lies a beautiful and natural lazy river. Rock Springs in Kelly Park is the best tubing spot in the area. Less than an hour drive from the heart of Orlando, Kelly Park should be on everyone’s Florida Bucket List. If you don’t know about Florida’s springs, read about them here.

While tubing is the most popular activity in the park, you can’t actually rent tubes inside the park. You can either rent them just outside the park at Rock Springs Bar & Grill or bring your own; just ensure they aren’t larger than 5 feet across.

When searching for Rock Springs, it can be a tad confusing, so make sure you look up Kelly Park. When you arrive, there is a small admission fee; which ranges from $3-$5 per car based on the amount of people in it. The park opens at 8am every day and I recommend arriving earlier in the day to avoid crowds. This is especially important during the peak months, as a cap on the number of visitors is enforced each day.

Next time you are in the Orlando area and looking for a relaxing way to cool off, make sure you check out Rock Springs at Kelly Park. Find out more info at the Orange County Parks website.
